Izzy's Grail

Where you’re from:
Franklin, MA

The first watch that moved you:
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duoface

Why:
I was enchanted by the kinetic function that allows the wearer to choose which face they want to show off at whatever moment. In addition to this aspect, I find the designs of these watches to be sleek, and love the ones that include the moon phase function.

Day-to-day at EWC:
As a restoration specialist, my role is to inspect incoming watches and restore them back to top quality for our customers. My everyday work includes cleaning the watches, adjusting links, switching straps, and bringing back their shine.

Grail:
Breguet Classique 7147 is my grail because of its clean, elegant, and timeless design. I also have great appreciation for its grand feu enamel dial for its craftsmanship and durability.

The world should know:
I attended the Massachusetts College of Art and Design where I earned my Bachelors in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. Everything I learned from my education, mixed with my fascination with fashion through the decades, really kickstarted my passion for well-crafted and functional adornment, both old and new. This interest led me to EWC, where I get to work on what I would consider one of the most useful types of accessories daily.

Bonus:
Outside of work, my interests are exploring the outdoors, making art, collecting antique and vintage accessories, and relaxing with my cats.
