Joshua's Collection

Where you’re from:
Born and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts.
The first watch that moved you:
A vintage Blancpain Tornek Rayville military watch
Why:
When one of these vintage pieces came into EWC (by my now good friend Jon), I was amazed by, frankly, everything about the timepiece. From its vintage look to the importance of the watch, how it looked on the wrist and the humidity indicator on the dial, I was fascinated. Plus, this watch had been used in military combat. I went on to collect many vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathoms & Milspec!
Day-to-day:
As the CEO at EWC, my days are always different. I handle many aspects of day-to-day operations, including improving department efficiency, managing the sales team, curating our collection, handling high-value transactions, leading tech transformations, managing marketing strategies, ensuring team alignment with company goals, planning for the future, adapting to challenges, and growing our new insurance product and editorial arm.
Grail:
My dream watch is the Patek Philippe 5971P Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, which I am fortunate to own. Being a watch dealer, I have the good fortune to be exposed to countless designs. The gem set Patek Philippe really hits a different spot. The subtle shimmer of the perfectly set baguette diamonds on the bezel, along with the indexes on the perfectly balanced black dial, gives a sense of refined elegance. Most people don't associate Patek Philippe with gem-sets, but the truth is they execute it better than almost any other manufacturer. People are always shocked when they see diamonds on my wrist. I tell them it's what happens when "you're off the deep end" when collecting. We see so many different watches here at EWC on a daily basis and the size, design, case, complication, and rarity of the Patek Philippe 5971P make it the dream watch for me.
The world should know:
I love gardening, cooking and actively searching for new hobbies. I was lucky enough to marry my high school sweetheart, Hannah, who has her own concierge diamond business a few doors down from EWC on Newbury Street. We have two beautiful boys and when I’m not learning from my family, I enjoy exploring new businesses and skills from other people's successes and experiences.
