10 Best Rose Gold Watches at European Watch Company
Buyers GuidesPublished by: EWC Team
View all posts by EWC TeamWhile yellow gold watches might be the most common precious metal watches, over the past decade we’ve seen an increase in white gold watches and rose gold watches. As opposed to yellow gold, rose gold (or pink gold) is a little more modern and, dare we say, edgy. And this has resulted in almost every luxury brand offering their take rose gold watches. So what our our favorites? Here are 10 great rose gold watches that have come through the doors of European Watch Company.
Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Skeleton Ref. 4300V/120R-B642
Price: $170,000-$180,000, Case Size: 41.5mm, Thickness: 8.1mm, Lug-to-Lug: N/A, Lug Width: N/A, Water Resistance: 50M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold
While the Vacheron Constantin Overseas is a more modern take on the luxury sport watch than the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautilus, it has built up a loyal collector’s base since it was first released in 1996. This has allowed the brand to build out the Overseas collection and use it as a platform for innovation. One of our absolute favorite Overseas is the Ref. 4300V/220R-B547. This rose gold beauty not only has a perpetual calendar, but a skeletonized dial, allowing the wearer to see the complication dial side. It truly is a stunner.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8-Day Ref. 103667
Price: $38,000-$42,000, Case Size: 40mm, Thickness: 5.95mm, Lug-to-Lug: 49.2mm, Lug Width: 20mm, Water Resistance: 30M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold
On the topic of rose gold watches with skeletonized dials, Bulgari also makes one that we really like. The Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8-Day doesn’t have any complications, but it is ultra-thin (just 5.95mm thick) and has a manual-wind movement with an incredible 8-day power reserve. Plus, the openworked dial is a pleasure to look at. If you want an all gold watch that is light and hugs the wrist, the Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Day is a great choice.
A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Rattrapante Honeygold Ref. 425.050
Price: $220,000-$230,000, Case Size: 41.2mm, Thickness: 12.6mm, Lug-to-Lug: N.A., Lug Width: N.A., Water Resistance: 100M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Manual Winding, Material: Rose Gold
When we think of A. Lange & Söhne, we think of the chronograph. And, obviously, the Datograph is the most famous of Lange’s chronographs. But we would be hard-pressed not to mention the 1815 Rattrapante Honeygold Ref. 425.050. Honeygold is a proprietary alloy made by Lange. For one, it is incredibly durable. More durable even than platinum. And while it clearly is a form of rose gold, it is distinct in its coloration. It has a bit more orange, or honey, tone to it. If you want an understated rose gold watch from the master of chronographs, the 1815 Rattrapante Honeygold 425.050 is the obvious choice.

F. P. Journe Octa Quantieme Perpetual Calendar Boutique Collection

It may be just us, but we are suckers for rose gold cases fitted with deep blue dials. And the F.P. Journe Octa Quantieme Perpetual Calendar is much more than that. The watch includes a perpetual calendar, with the date, day and month displayed through large apertures on the dial. And while the watch is automatic, it has an incredibly 120-hour power reserve. And in case you missed it, the watch also has a centered leap year indicator. Overall, this is just an incredible watch. Something we’ve come to expect from the master of independents, F.P. Journe.

Rolex Day-Date Ref. 228235
Price: $47,000-$53,000, Case Size: 40mm, Thickness: 12mm, Lug-to-Lug: 47mm, Lug Width: 20mm, Water Resistance: 100M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold
You can’t really talk about rose gold watches, without talking about the Crown, Rolex. Even though Rolex has named their rose gold alloy, Everose, at the end of the day its rose gold. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t fans. Quite the contrary. There are so many rose gold Rolexes, it’s hard to choose just one (or two). One of our favorites is the Day-Date Ref. 228235. This is your classic Day-Date, but with a modern twist. Yes, you have the iconic president bracelet and fluted bezel. But, the rose gold case mixed with the olive green dial gives the watch a much more modern presentation. Because of this, the Ref. 228235 is one of our favorite Day-Dates on the market.

Rolex Rainbow Daytona Ref. 116595RBOW
Price: $400,000-$425,000, Case Size: 40mm, Thickness: 12.3mm, Lug-to-Lug: 47.5mm, Lug Width: 20mm, Water Resistance: 30M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold
Rolex is definitely the king of rose gold timepieces, and that’s why we included a second on this list. You can’t talk about rose gold Rolexes without mentioning the absolute grail Rolex, the Daytona Rainbow Ref. 116595RBOW. Not only is this Daytona made of solid gold, but the bezel is set with rainbow-colored gems and the chronograph subdials are made of meteorite. Indeed, it was this watch that started the whole rainbow watch craze.
Patek Philippe 5303R Minute Repeater Tourbillon
Price: $1,290,000-$1,300,000, Case Size: 42mm, Thickness: 13.12mm, Lug-to-Lug: N.A., Lug Width: N.A., Water Resistance: None, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Manual Winding, Material: Rose Gold
While everyone is always quick to gravitate towards the Nautilus or Aquanaut, it is classic complications that make Patek Philippe the brand it is today. And one of the most special pieces we have come across at European Watch Company is the Ref. 5303R Minute Repeater Tourbillon. This piece is not only packed with complications, including a Minute Repeater and Tourbillon, but has a fully skeletonized dial. Patek Philippe doesn’t often openwork their most classical pieces, so it’s truly a sight to behold.

Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Micro-Rotor Ref. PFC914-2020001-200182
Price: $40,000-$45,000, Case Size: 40mm, Thickness: 7.8mm, Lug-to-Lug: 45.6mm, Lug Width: N.A., Water Resistance: 100M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold
One of the more recent entrants into the luxury sport watch category, the Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda has become an enthusiast favorite, especially among collectors of independents. The Tonda manages to have a unique design while remaining understated and traditional. From the sterile dial (except for the PF logo) to the fluted bezel and integrated bracelet with polished outer links, the Tonda has become a modern icon. And the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor with grey dial is no exception. If you wanted an integrated bracelet gold sport watch, but want to look beyond the Nautilus and Royal Oak, the Tonda PF is a solid option.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Rainbow” Ref. 15413OR
Price: $305,000-$315,000, Case Size: 41mm, Thickness: 9.8mm, Lug-to-Lug: 51.7mm, Lug Width: N/A, Water Resistance: 50M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold
Unlike the Tonda PF we just discussed, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Ref. 15413OR is anything but understated. Like all of the other watches on this list, this Royal Oak is made from solid rose gold. But the watch not only has a gem-set rainbow bezel, but a dial adorned completely with pave diamonds. Obviously, the Ref. 15413OR is not for the faint of heart. We imagine it on the wrist of the collector that wants to make a loud statement.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Chronograph Ref. Q389257J
Price: $36,000-$40,000, Case Size: 29.9mm, Thickness: 11.14mm, Lug-to-Lug: 45.6mm, Lug Width: 22mm, Water Resistance: 30M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Manual Winding, Material: Rose Gold
We love the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso duoface models because they allow the wearer two have to watches in one (often in contrast with one another). And while the Reverso Tribute Chronograph in rose gold is technically not a duoface (since both dials show the same time), it is still like having two diametrically opposing watches in one. On one side you have a restrained time only black sunray dial, perfect for that formal occasion. But when you flip the watch over, you are greeted with a fully openworked dial, showcasing the watch’s chronograph function.
