Few releases stir the watch community like a new Rolex, and this year, Rolex took that excitement a step further by presenting a new collection: the Land-Dweller. Priced above a Datejust, which is $9,350 USD for a steel and white gold 36mm model, and below a Submariner, which retails for $17,600 in its steel and gold version, the Land-Dweller collection brings an elegant integrated bracelet everyday piece to Rolex’s collections. Plus, it’s a popular favorite for the EWC team!

“The Land-Dweller really holds a special significance, from its old school design inspired by the original Oysterquartz to the new mechanical inventions that drive the brand into the future,” said EWC Watch Specialist David Cote.

The reference 127234 featured here comes sporting a lovely white dial flaunting the collection’s signature honeycomb motif with explorer indices and a lumed handset. A cyclops-topped date window calls back to one of Rolex’s signature details, and the fluted bezel references many of Rolex’s other popular collections. There’s a lot that’s new here, from the integrated bracelet’s flat link jubilee design to the dial finish and layout. A slender profile of 9.7mm allows the watch to wear far more comfortably than many integrated bracelet watches.

Another exciting enhancement on the Land-Dweller collection is the addition of an exhibition caseback, showcasing Rolex’s all-new Caliber 7135. The 7135 features a patented ‘Dynapulse’ movement, which utilizes a double escapement to increase the efficiency of the movement far beyond a traditional lever escapement. There are a variety of other technical enhancements, including a new oscillator, a brass balance wheel, and more.

Front and back, this new release is an exciting blend of Rolex design and technical innovation, and has already garnered some much-deserved enthusiasm. We’re excited to have one in stock; check out this Land-Dweller and many other Rolex watches at EuropeanWatch.com.
