Each week, EWC will be gathering horological industry news, cultural conversations and moments surrounding our favorite topic: timepieces. Happy Friday; here’s what’s on our watch.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Dropped a Bonkers Clock at Milan Design Week

For those who are a glutton for punishment, Watches and Wonders Geneva leads straight into Salone del Mobile also known as Milan Design Week. It’s a short train or plane ride from Geneva to Milan. One of the largest global design events, Salone always includes a handful of timekeepers. Here, after a stunning display in Geneva, Jaeger-LeCoulture has just unveiled a reinterpretation of the classical Art Deco “glass box” Atmos design that was first invented in 1928 by Jean-Léon Reutter. The Atmos Infinite ‘Halo’ is a kinetic work of art powered by energy from variations in the ambient air temperature, fitting perfectly into the Maison’s ‘Living on Air’ exhibition.
Blancpain Expands Its Iconic Fifty Fathoms

Swatch Group does not participate in Watches and Wonders Geneva, so it comes as no surprise that one of their anchor brands, Blancpain, expanded its core collection this week with the Fifty Fathoms Automatique 42mm in polished stainless steel. After the success of the rose gold and titanium variations last year, the new stainless steel version features a sunburst black dial and the option of a stainless steel bracelet or Tropic rubber, sail cloth, or NATO straps will join the brand’s permanent collection.
Watchlist: For Your Horological Viewing Pleasure

Take a deep dive into the “Henry Ford of watchmaking” and its horological breakthroughs in a new documentary that just landed on Amazon Prime. America Telling Time: 150 Years of Bulova includes interviews, archival footage, and untold stories exploring how the brand helped shape the modern watch industry, from its early days on Maiden Lane in NYC to its cultural relevance today.
Watches of the Masters (So Far)

All eyes are on Augusta. Earlier this week, the Masters kicked off its 89th edition. Though the iconic tournament is just beginning, we’ve already seen some killer wrist game. Of course, there’s been plenty of Rolex in the mix with Justin Hastings rocking a Submariner Date Ref. 126610lv-0002 in stainless steel and green ceramic, and Jon Rahm sporting the highly coveted Daytona “Le Mans.” Omega also made an appearance on the wrist of Rory McIlroy, who opted for a rose gold De Ville Tourbillon Co-Axial Chronometer, as well as Nicolai Hojgaard, who chose a sportier Seamaster Diver 300M. Still, it was Min Woo Lee who gave us the most unique wrist flex of the tournament so far with the titanium De Bethune DB28 XS Starry Seas.
